This secluded, oak-sheltered enclave offers the perfect Sound side getaway for your vacation. The New Orleans style exterior of the home is warm and welcoming with its beautiful set of solid wood entryway doors and lush landscaping. The foyer is quite grand with high ceilings and an open stairwell on the left. The stairwell in itself is a work of art with unique wrought iron ivy details in the railing. On the right, the library entrance features another beautiful set of hand crafted, solid wood doors. The desk area is built in with high reaching custom bookshelves complete with rolling ladder. In here are also 2 sleeper sofas and a TV. Past the library is the glass bricked doorway entrance to the galley style kitchen. Cooking in this kitchen will be a pleasure with its polished granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, gas range top, and view over the breakfast bar out to the waterfront. Off the kitchen is a high top table and four chairs perfect for morning coffee and breakfast. The kitchen is open to the living area with lots of comfortable seating in front of the TV/entertainment center. Behind the living area is a more formal dining room with custom built-ins, a fireplace with carved wood mantel, and more picture windows for beautiful views of the water. The downstairs bedrooms are located behind the kitchen. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed and private bath. Bedroom 2 has two twin beds, and bedroom 3 has a queen-sized bed. These two bedrooms share a hall bath with a tub/shower combo. Laundry is also available in this hallway. The master bedroom is located up the staircase and down a windowed hallway. In here are 2 queen beds, a large walk-in closet with custom built-in shelving, and a huge spa style bathroom with a double vanity, jetted garden tub, and glassed walk-in shower with a shower bench. A separate lower level has a king bed and small kitchenette with a sink, microwave, coffee maker, and mini fridge. Large glass doors lead to a private waterfront balcony overlooking the pool. Imagine the peaceful mornings just being able to get up, make a cup of coffee, and step out onto your private deck, all without leaving your bedroom. With its high raftered ceilings and tons of natural light, this private suite is a vacation area all on its own. The home itself is wonderful, but it is the outdoor spaces that really make this house unforgettable. The living room doors open to a covered porch area with exposed beam ceilings and a comfortable seating area. This leads straight into the gated, sparkling private pool. The pool has a large deck area and with its artistic paver design, it will stay cool on your feet even on the sunniest of Florida days. Adjacent to the poolside porch is an enclosed, fully equipped outdoor kitchen and bar area. The huge outdoor kitchen has a refrigerator, sink, and two gas grill/cooking surfaces. The outdoor bar seating opens into a beautifully landscaped stone patio area with lush lawn and shade from the mature oak trees. Water side is a large deck leading to a private pier with more expansive decking for soaking in the sun. Truly escape reality with a vacation to this island resort of a home.
